Lunch meeting: Club Assembly

Before the Club Assembly, President Stephen presented Multiple Paul Harris Fellow and Bequest Society Level 2 recognition to IPP Peter.  President Stephen also presented a new Paul Harris Fellowship to Rtn Didier Barbas.
IPP Peter reported that our club agreed that each member will donate at least USD100 to Paul Harris Fellow to become every Rotarian every year club.  Besides, IPP Peter donated USD1000, PP Kishore donated USD2000 and Rtn Stephen donated USD100 to Annual program fund, which Rtn Didier donated USD100 to Polio fund of Paul Harris fellows.
PP George reported that we had 48 active members now and will have one more on April. 
Hon. Sec. Michael reported that we have the book coupons project that will provide $500 book coupons to Primary and Secondary students.  We will support 5 students each school in Southern District to relief the burden of the needy family.  Also, we will have Proposal on Improving the School Green Environment 2011 to encourage students to think about how to make their school green.
PP Paul reported that we had a vocational visit of Eu Yan Sang factory on Oct 2010, and we had three vocational talks conducted by our members. 
PP Francesco reported that he visited Grandma Care Project in Thailand and suggested our club to continue to support the project.
PP Nick reported that our club applied for a matching grant for our leprosy project.  RCHKS donated HK$150,000 to the project.
At the end, PE Martin showed us how ShelterBox help the victims of Japan earthquake.
Sergeant at Arms Rtn Michael Wan collected HK$1,150 for raffle and fines.  Rtn Didier won the raffle prize: a bottle of red wine.
President Stephen announced that the collected raffle and fines from this meeting and the meetings on April will all go to the ShelterBox project, and he will match with the fund collected.

Announcements:
The District Assembly will be held on 14th May 2011 at Shatin Club House, HK Jockey Club
We will have Annual Dinner and Club 888 lucky draw on 5th May 2011, Thursday night at Top Deck.
The District Tennis Competition will be held on 3rd April for doubles at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay.
District PP Dinner will be held on 8 April (Friday) at Kowloon Regal Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui, the dinner fee is $450 per person.
We will have Golf Tournament with the members of Institute of Directors at HK Golf Club, Deep Water Bay on 28th April 2011 before our lunch meeting.
