Ambassadorial Scholar Kwan Hui from the Southern District of NJ Rotary

As President Stephen and PE Martin were in the US for the RI Convention, we had PP George serve as Acting President.

We had three visiting Rotarians today: PP Petro Chung form Rotary Club of HK City North, PP Joop Litmaath from Rotary Club of HK and Rtn Charles Lagrange from Rotary Club of Beijing.

Our speaker today was Miss Kwan Hui, Ambassadorial Scholar from Rotary‚Äôs Southern New Jersey district in the US.  She is studying for her Masters degree in Transport Policy and Planning at the University of Hong Kong.  Kwan told us about her feelings about HK and the great experiences here.  She also shared information about transportation systems in New Jersey and how planning and policy shape communities and can make an impact on local economies and the environment.

Sergeant at Arms Rtn Michael collected HK$685 for raffle and fines.  PP Nick won the raffle prize as a bottle of red wine.

The Presidential Inauguration Ball will be held on 8th July 2011 (Friday) at HK Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Club 888 lucky draw Annual Dinner has been held on 5th May, all tickets were sold and we raised HK$444,000 for our club’s community service fund.
