Call for Prizes for RCHKS Club 888 Lucky Draw

Rotary Club of Hong Kong South is looking for prizes for our the club’s annual charity raffle in return for exposure in the lucky draw’s printed promotional materials, web site and social media in the months prior to the draw based on the value of the donation, which ideally start at a retail value of HKD $2,000.

The Rotary Club of Hong Kong South (RCHKS) has been doing good in the world for over 43 years now.  We are a group of business and professional people who help to improve the lives of people in need Hong Kong, China and beyond, with a focus on Youth and the Elderly.  Some of our important work includes:

In Hong Kong
A breakfast program and healthy diet program to help underprivileged school-aged children
Support activities for the single elderly and counseling services for the underprivileged in Aberdeen
We are in the process of initiating a support program, together with KELY, for underprivileged students at risk from drug abuse

In Mainland China
A signature program, which we began more than 20 years ago, is The Leprosy Project.  Our aim is to provide a healthy and economically stable life for people afflicted by Leprosy and their families.  Leprosy is curable, but the stigma of this ancient disease carries on into the modern era.
Clean water and sanitation is vital.  In the past 2 years, RCHKS has joined with the Rotary Foundation, and other clubs from across the globe, to undertake a project to provide clean, reliable water for some of these villages.  This work continues right now and there is so much more to do.

International
Our club also involved internationally with Shelterbox, which provides temporary shelter for people in times of natural or man-made disasters.
One specific project, to which we contributed, was the rebuilding of public toilets in a village in Nepal following the devastating earthquake there in 2015.
Globally, Rotary International is well known for its fight in global polio eradication via our End Polio Now campaign
